Hey nobody questioned if he's gonna' be good or not, I just hate when people know they are wrong and post bullshit instead of admitting it.
Forgot about that game, so the last 3 games 17/13/1a/2b while shooting damn near 50% and about 65% from the charity stripe. Good stats coming back from missing 2 games, maybe he will start doing this on a consistent basis.
As good as Davis' 20/18 game was tonight, his EFF was only 27.0 (in an 11 point loss). Lillard's EFF last night was 41.0 (in a 30 point win). Lillard has the lead and it's getting wider, not closer. Not sure why this thread isn't labeled OT. Anthony Davis doesn't play for the Blazers. He was drafted No. 1. It's not like we had a chance to draft him and passed. We drafted 5 spots later and landed the ROY. Doesn't matter what Davis does, we never had a chance to get him. I'm more than happy, thrilled actually, with the guy we got. BNM
I think the assumption is that Davis is the only rookie that could challenge Dame for ROY, which makes him loosely connected to the Blazers. Of course, at this point, that's virtually impossible.
I'm thrilled with Lillard, too, and I think he's going to win ROY. However, I think Davis has a chance to at least be in the running if he comes on really strong in the last six weeks of the season. I also think when you have the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year on your team, and the next-best player is making something of a push, it's relevant to talk about it on a Blazer board. It's amazing to me that people get their panties all in a knot about this kind of thing. And who cares if we never had a chance to get him?? I certainly don't. I'm just interested in the race for ROY.
