definitely Miami to FInals. but there will be a change. NO PISTONS NO NETS ....Cavs 100 % theyll have to fight to go the finals.i ahte ppl who say detroit with big ben gone, i think sheed relied on him to much, ruined the chemistry.Nj has no future in my opinion, VC still needs to step up big, falshy dunks will get the media goin, but ppl like d wade and lebron get a team going.

Wow so many flaws with this ignorant Raptor fan. (Not you CB4)I hate people who say Detroit doesn't have a shot. Incredibly ignorant. We still have a great core of Billups, Hamilton, Prince, and Sheed. We have Nazr Mohammed who is a brilliant replacement. Flip Murray and Ronald Dupree add to the depth, and Amir Johnson is improving rapidly. And we have McDyess who was tearing it up at the end of last year. Nazr won't ruin the chemestry, he is a veteran that will help our team out on offense and defense. He can't intimidate the foes like Big Ben did, but he can hold his own in Motown. Detroit will miss him, but we filled the hole pretty well this off-season.New Jersey has no future? Richard Jefferson, Nenad Kristic, Marcus Williams, and Josh Boone are all very young. RJ is already a established star, and Nenad showed why he is one of the best centers in the East last season, and will prove to show more this year. Marcus Williams and Josh Boone have helped UConn to a number one seed last year in the NCAA tourney, and will continue to gel when they get their turn on the court. What were you thinking when you made this post? It was sad and pathetic. I think you just wanted to hate some more on the Pistons and Nets. I think the Cavs are a real threat to the other teams in the East though.

i think detroit has a shot, but i think LeBron makes another jump and is just too dominating to stop, or even slow down for that matter. i predict miami vs. cavs as well.

Miami vs. Cavs, just like everybody else, Cavs got Gooden back they're safe to return to where they were at this past year. Miami will be back here again, Shaq's not going anywhere for a while, Dwade is just going to get better coming back from TeamUSA, and don't forget about Jwill, Haslem, Walker, Posey. Alonzo is 1 year older but I don't think he'll get alot worse.

Heat. Shaq is still a force in the paint, and he draws multiple defenders making it easier for D Wade to score. Dwyane Wade is one of the best offensive players in the League, and a top 5 player in the League, and the Heat have a great supporting cast that includes Walker, Williams, Payton, Mourning, Haslem, and others.Yeah, that's right. If there are no injuries during the playoffs then the Heat will make the Finals again. Count on it.As for the other team in the ECF? Im counting on the Bulls. They will have a GREAT defense, great depth, solid offense. I think they can make it. Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, and Ben Gordon will all have big and better years too.

Chicago is still to young and they don't really have a "star" player on offense. Cleveland is gonna be alot tougher though, especially if they have a healthy Larry Hughes.

I dont hate. I didnt say Nets wouldnt be first did I?......Pistons..hmmm i dont appreciate you calling me ignorant. I think in the terms of the raptors Pistons have the same situation. Need to fill a 5. just Nazr Mohammed is a way better C then Rasho will ever be. But we both lack a solid backup, and i think will be Detroiots weakness with Big Ben outta here. And i think Pistons will finish 2nd in the group, but will be elminated at semi conferance finals. Pistons have nothing to do with the Raptors so im not "hating" here right?

They have 6 good players, a bad playoff coach and an aging team while the Bulls have some of the best depth in the league, good experience(Sefolosha and Thomas are new but pretty much everyone else has like 2 years of playoff experience or more and Ben Wallace and PJ Brown bring tons of experience.) and if Skiles is an above average coach then he will find their line-ups quickly and they won't have any problem with chemistry. If the Suns could do it in a few weeks with almost a brand new team then the Bulls will do it with a few new faces. I don't think they need a star scorer. They can get to the ECF as a team and with that good D that they have. Also would like to add that a few of their top players are in their 3rd season when most basketball players take their game to the next level.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (KiiiLLAKiiiiD @ Aug 29 2006, 06:52 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>-The Chicago Bulls R A Tough Team Now ANd They can be dangerous.-Miami is a solid team too and so r the pistons.-Pacers r another team dat got tough too- They Got AL Harrington now.i think it would be.>Pacers vs. Bulls.</div>The Pacers got hurt a lot in the offseason and they were looking like a terrible team before Harrington. Harrington won't take them from crap to contender even though he should boost them into the playoffs.

You NEED a star player, when your down and your team isn't scoring you need that one player to rise to the occasion and take over the game, Melo against Italy, Wade against Dallas and so on, that is especially true in the finals. Chicago might make the ECF but I highly doubt they will win it.When Detroit won the championship in 2004 they had about 5-6 good players as well. Prince still hadn't developed and they had Okur coming off the bench. What they had was depth, this years isn't as good as the '04 team but it isn't bad either. Flip isn't a bad coach, it's just that his players don't like him much really. In the playoffs I remember alot of the Pistons players talking smack about him.

Detroit didn't ahve a star player when they won and I'm not predicting the Bulls to reach the Finals. They can beat Detroit and reach the ECF. Detroit didn't have much depth either. 6 players is horrible depth, they won with teamwork. The Bulls have depth and when they build chemistry over the season they will be one scary team.

As far as depth goes, maybe you haven't seen the '04 roster before.Coming off the bench was:Mike JamesOkur Corliss WilliamsonChucky AtkinsBob SuraLindsey HunterThats a pretty solid bench there I would say.

They had Mike James and Okur who actually did somthing off the bench(that's it) and James wasn't that good(6 points in 20 minutes a game). Chauncy didn't take over games like he does now. They had good players but no one great. This year the Bulls have much more depth and better defense. If the players don't like the coach then that doesen't make him a good coach. There's a reason the players didn't like Flip. He won't take the Pistons anywhere. He's an offensive-minded coach taking over a defensive-minded team. This year their bench isn't as good and Larry Brown was 100x better for this team. Flip lead the T-Wolves to many 1st round exits and is taking a team with plenty of talent down again in the playoffs.

Chauncey did take over games in the finals, hence the fact he won Finals MVP. The Pistons have better defense the Bulls, Prince, Rip, Chauncey and Rasheed are all fine defensive players and are better defensively then anyone on the Bulls roster besides Ben maybe. Depth-wise the Bulls do have the edge, though.I don't know why the players didn't like Flip but I think it was that they were used to Larry more then anything else. Also, the Pistons won 64 games with Flip as there coach and they did that offensively. The bench this year isn't as good as '04 but there starting 5 is one of the best in the league. There bench is fine now with McDyess and Murray, you don't need a great bench to win the championship (Heat).

A good veteran point guard who really helped in the finals. Posey was good. Better than the Pistons.. Murray only scored 13 points and got 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 36 minutes for the Cavs. He should get a little more than a 3rd of those minutes. He really isn't that good at all. Flip helped them win games in the regular season which is what he has a history of doing. He won't take them anywhere in the playoffs, especially with Wallace not happy with him. The Bulls have some good team D and a coach that will focus on that. The Pistons lost their big inside presence who I think made others look better than they are. He's leaving a big hole down low that Mohammed will not fill. Having an offensive minded coach and losing your best defensive player does not equeal a great D.

McDyess is like the Alonzo of the Heat except he brings more offense. Flip is a good shooter, I don't think Detroit will ask much of him but he should still bring 6-7 points off the bench. And by the way, Posey didn't step up until the finals, he was pretty quiet all season.Detroit still has experience and players who know how to win. Even with Flip as there coach they can win, Sheed struggled through the playoffs and they had a complete shooting meltdown against Miami, had they won that game we might not be looking at them the same way. Losing Ben was big but it doesn't mean they went from a great defensive team to a crappy one, there starters are all good defensive players.
