Sorry, but it didn't get me depressed, it made me happy. Our draft record says to me that we had many, many years of nonlottery picks because we were in the playoffs.
Too bad we didn't keep some of those 2nd rounders we picked. The Blazers have been one of the best at finding talent in the 2nd round, but we don't keep em! Cunningham, Asik, Kleiza, McRoberts.... In the past 20 years, we've drafted 6 good(starting quality) players. McKie,O'Neal,Randolph, Roy, LA(counting those two even though we didn't technically draft them) and Lillard. We traded 3 of those guys away for basically nothing. One retired young due to injury, and the other 2 are starting tonight. However, in that time frame, we've only had 8 lotto picks. So you could look at it that way and say not bad??
