Kobe and Dwight are elite players that can get it together as the season goes on. I noticed in a few games Kobe would pretend to shoot a 3-point shot and throw him alley-oops. Dwight doesn't even require direct passes to get his points in the paint. As long as Kobe or Nash can lob it to him or get a pick-and-roll situation going it would be Showtime all the time in Lakerland.

Kobe won championships with Shaq. Pax coached hem both, though.

I guess things will get better with time, but I do think Phil would elevate this team to contender status.

Howard seems to be finding his place on this team. He looks healthy as well.

I don't think so. Kobe doesn't seem willing to give up this team yet. Howard needs more "focus" on the offensive end. He needs more touches man!

But the biggest issue is the lack of using Nash. Why get him, if you just want him as a spot up shooter and run an occasional pick and roll? I would suspect he and Howard would be picking apart the defense with their pick and rolls.
