Stop showcasing him and shut him down for the season. :D

It's great what he says about the Blazers, but does anyone feel he will pick the Blazers for less money? He will sign with the team that offers him the most, IMO. (and this is not a rip on Maynor, just the reality of the situation . . . it's a business).

I do think the Blazers offer a qualifying offer so they have the option to match.

Hopefully oshley will work something out before he hits the market. But if not, maybe we let the market decide and go from there. I know it's a 5 mil cap hold; but you can't find a better back up, IMO.

Done. Get it done, Olshey. This kid is worthy of locking up valuable cap space for. I'm sold. This kid could be a huge piece of a talented 3-guard rotation.

If he keeps playing the way he has been, maybe he can be...

Since Maynor has been here. Our offensive efficiency has been 113.1, 1st in the league. Ahead of 112.9 clippers. Shhhhhhh......

We've been given a gift. We need to roll with this and make it happen.

It's impossible for us to let Maynor go now....

How do we get our center? Seems like Olshey really wants a center and his last option would be to bring Hickson back...

Does Phoenix want our lotto pick for Gortat? Would we have to give them Leonard too? Do we trade our lotto pick for future picks so we maintain a more flexible cap?

Do we try to offer Al Jeff the rest of our cap space (9-10) after we sign Maynor?

Do we go after Dalembert to hold it down until Leonard is ready?

Maynor sure has thrown a wrench into our plans this summer. There is no way we can let him go.

Do whatever, but if we're a year or two away from being really competitive, you don't let Leonard go. You can't afford that. You pick up one of these aging vets in FA and you let it bake. We're not going to be a top team overnight.

    Wow... damn...!

I mean, we always knew our starters were mostly fine, but our bench sucked... now that we have a real point guard on the team, we're golden!

I haven't been this excited for years, as far as our guard situation. There was a time in the mid-90's when we had Rider and Anderson (I believe this was our situation at the time), and the Blazers were pursuing Cassell to form a strong 3-guard rotation. I liked that possibility. I think this could be big for our team. We still need to strengthen the frontcourt, but damn, I'm a fan.

I'd definitely like to keep him. Damian seems to do really well playing some SG.

Imagine if we'd had Maynor all season, I'm pretty sure we'd be the 8th seed. No way we can go back to horrendous Ronnie Price or Nolan Smith. That would be like smashing your dick with a hammer.

Yes, Maynor has been a burst of fresh air and is playing well (much better than his career numbers indicate he can sustain). Yes, he gives a valuable break to Lillard.

But NO, we shouldn't worry about his BEFORE getting our frontcourt solidified. We need to use that cap space wisely. THEN, worry about the bench.
I'd like to keep both Hickson and Maynor long term - but not at the expense of using all our cap space on them both.

To use all of our cap room, I believe we'd have to renounce Hickson and Maynor.
