If I missed this elsewhere, please merge. On a good level tonight and don't care I research what's been posted.

But this is worthy of its' own thread.

    Fatty Felton.

    I agree with Quick.

It doesn't happen often. But I agree. And frankly, it's very fair.

Fuck Ray-Ray. One of the worst deals we've made in recent history. But a lot of us wanted it to work out and be.

    Yeah I'd boo that ass.

I want Faried. I'll cheer dude.

But screw Felton. Quick's article might be wrong on one account. Wasn't it an ice cream cone, not a cupcake?

Seems childishly unprofessional and sort of an "abuse of a position of power".

Not the kind of stuff that one would expect from a serious prize-winning journalist of Quick's caliber. :tsktsk:

Wow. That wasn't a professional piece of journalism. That was personal. Wow, wow, wow. I'd like to know what Raymond did to Jason personally.

Several of you have been calling this an "article" and referring to Quick as a "journalist". It seems clear to me that this is not an article, but a "column", which allows for more freedom and subjectivity. It's supposed to have personal opinion, just like anything written by Canzano or Duin.

Now, I will agree that it seems a bit over the top even for a column, but it should be understood that it's not supposed to be an objective piece of reporting, and it should be critiqued with that in mind.

This. I don't necessarily agree with the approach. It may not be the most professional on Quick's part. But Ray's actions last year were at from professional. And Quick is reminding people not to boo, when Ray clearly deserves it (if any athlete coming through town deserves it).

    "Mediocrity?" Really???

    32 Bill Walton, C, 1974–78
    20 Maurice Lucas, F, 1976–80 and 1987–88
    22 Clyde Drexler, G, 1983–95
    45 Geoff Petrie, G, 1970–76
    14 Lionel Hollins G, 1975–80
    30 Terry Porter, G, 1985–95
    36 Lloyd Neal, C, 1972–79
    30 Bob Gross, F, 1975–82
    13 Dave Twardzik, G, 1976–80
    15 Larry Steele, G, 1971–80

Not a "mediocre" player on the list. Gross and Twardzik were both starters on a world championship team, and Larry Steele led the NBA in steals two years in a row. Quick is a fool.

I think he means in comparison to, say Boston's list, which is much shorter and has many more championships.

Quick is a columnist now and this is what columnists do.

Half those names at least shouldn't be hanging up there - it's silly. Petrie, Walton, Drexler, that's about it.
