He's always going to be a liability in the playoffs until he learns to shoot, and will probably make more turnovers than assists in pressure situations. Meh......He's still Bricky Floppio to me.
I don't even really give a shit about the guy. The comment I made at the time was never meant to compare him to Rondo in terms of talent, just style (i.e. pass first guy who isn't much of a shooter, but can be a pest on defense) Other people took that to mean I thought he was going to be a future Hall-of-famer.
It's cool. You ain't gotta lie to kick it. Brush that dirt off ya shoulder. Another good game tonight. Except they lost by 8. And Rubio shot 30%. 14-7-7 is nice til you realize that his terrible shooting makes a big difference in the overall outcome.
ricky: better ast%, stl%, Drtg, Trb% coming off major knee surgery and with his all star PnR partner gone the whole year. He can't shoot and yet he still produces just as well as cher boi.
his crappy shooting has nothing to do with his knee. Minnesota would trade Rubio for Lillard yesterday. And not just because they're desperate to take Portland players.
lol, no we wouldnt hahahahahahahahaha lillard is a garbage defender and has a terrific supporting cast if ricky played for portland he would average 15 apg
terrific?! Outside of LaMarcus, there really isn't much of a supporting cast. and to bring up defense as though you're making a good point (Rubio is not known for defense..or shooting) is sad. just go ahead and post the picture and get it over with.
ricky actually is know for his defense batum/wes/hickson/aldridge all playing 30+ minutes next to lillard is better than stiemsma/gelabale/ridnour which it was for a long time and then pek/ak/derrick williams when somewhat healthy
If only minny picked the other 30 first round lotto pick point guards instead of Rubio. Maybe they would have a winning record.
And we would also be 11-60 because rubio is that much of a liability on offense. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
They might make it to 30 wins for the first time in recent memory...something love could never make happen Baby steps
Rubio and Lillard are like the opposite extremes of the PG continuum. Like Jason Kidd vs. Isiah Thomas. One thing I worry about if we do go after Pekovic is how much he benefits from playing with Rubio. I wonder what Batum thinks these days, given that a supposed reason for him saying he wanted to go to Minny was to play with Rubio. It's got to occur to him once in a while when he watches Lillard go one-on-one.
Maybe he's thinking, "Damn, I'm glad this rook can step up and take the heat off me not being able to score with a bad wrist. I'm sure glad I don't have to count on Rubio to do that." Go Blazers
