Not saying it will happen, but what's your opinion if it does?

I absolutely love Matthews and think he's an awesome asset to this club. I just have this weird feeling he will be dealt this summer.

I doubt it, but you never know. Depends on what we got back.

I actually think management would move LA before Mathews. Everyone seems to just love Mathews in management.

Yeah it just seems like a bad move. I guess I may have in digestion.

Its inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Hes a nice player but I wouldn't cry about him being dealt (assuming whatever the trade is gets a fair return).

Seems like a lot of people's logic on here is that the SG crop in the NBA sucks now, so you should hold onto Matthews because hes in the top half of those SGs. I would argue that the difference between him and the 20-25 guys isn't very much and defense/spot up 3 pt shooting wing players aren't difficult to come by. Maybe they're not typically as good as MAtthews, but they're not much of a downgrade. If you can trade him for a high quality backup big or a nice starting C or something then I'd jump at it.

Nobody is untouchable but I love me some Wesley. He is the type of player who is more effort than talent, and his work ethic and attitude are contagious. There are plenty of upgrades out there and Wesley would also be a great 6th man player. Problem with that is that other teams see that also and Wesley is one of our most tradeable players...... I do think that management wont be quick to trade any of our core guys this offseason though.

My ideal situation this offseason would use our cap space or trade assets to pick up a decent center while Leonard keeps developing. Then assuming we keep our pick, we draft a SG like Harris or Oladipo and use them to solidify our bench while they develop. Keep Mathews as long as possible with the eye on moving Harris/Oladopo to the starting lineup in a few years. By then Wesley could either be gone or 6th man.

I love Wes. He's the type of player every team needs.

Listen, Mathews is a great guy, great teammate and a hard worker but he is in no way shape or form among the elite. If we can upgrade are SG\SF (Have Batum swing over to SG) or C position with the cost of Mathews. I'm probably going to be all in. Are we trying to build a championship team or are we trying to build a popular team among the fan base?
