Congrats to him. He tends to do well during the second half of his seasons. Let's hope he can come in at the beginning of next season starting like that right away. It'll help us win more games.

Every player will be criticized with positive and negative comments. That's the nature of the beast.

He was 6-12 on jumpers, and 7-9 in the paint against DET.
Against NYK, he was 3-9 on jumpers and 5-6 in the paint.
Against MEM he was 3-7 on jumpers and 7-12 in the paint.

So for the week, he was 12-28 (42.8%) on jumpers and 19-27 (70.3%) in the paint. He only shot 51% of his shots as jumpers, well down from the 72% he normally shoots. I don't think there's a single poster here that wants to get rid of LaMonster. It's just that LaMonster weeks don't generally happen anymore. They're great when they do.

No offense, but I see a difference between legitimate criticizim and what KS said. Saying LA quit on the team, that he doesn't care and that he is garbage is WAY over the top. If he was right about that assessment, good for him, but when he rags on the player and is DEAD WRONG (as witnessed by him winning player of the week)......I (and others) will be waiting to remind him of how clueless he is.

    Go Blazers

He should've been in the paint all day against the Knicks who were without their big 3.

He definitely did well against quality competition in Memphis and Detroit.

I think this has more to do with Stotts realizing that he isn't a Dirk. I think I'm more impressed with his rebounding effort. He is really working hard on rebounding the ball; especially in the 4th quarter.

Good point, and beyond that, I think it is part of the Kingspeed 'schtick'. He has a sense of humor, and is generally a kind and clever guy.

Clearly, my criticism go through to Aldridge. I lit a fire under him after that awful effort against New Orleans. This award makes me very happy.

Clearly, Aldridge was disappointed about his place on the "hottest NBA player" list. He was then even more enraged that you didn't specifically mention his hotness.

Thus, the lighting of Aldridge's fire.

In all seriousness. I just don't think there is any scenario that would give Portland an advantage in a deal. If the rumor for Harden was actually true; that would be the only one I see making sense.

Regardless, there aren't too many PFs these days actually demanding doubles. In fact, I think I can only count as many on one hand. I don't think he's a batman; but he's definitely an important Robin. Maybe more of a Robin in "Teen Titans".

I don't know if you've noticed my Batum, Lillard, Aldridge trio thread. I know you aren't too high on Batum; but this trio could be very valuable next season.

Rumor for Harden? There was no rumor for Harden. It was people here saying they'd move him for Harden.

There was more than Nate. I loved a Harden-Ibaka deal. As did quite a few others. Some scoffed at that deal here. But that seems really unlikely from OKC's side.

Oh, well I came in on the back end of it. My mistake. So in reality, there was zero decent return on a Aldridge.

Everyone watching Harden play knew he was going to do well as the main option. The guy is simply a stud at getting to the hoop and the FT line. He shoots well and can pass better than most (if not all) shooting guards.
