Lagunitas is mostly overrated crap but this one is actually pretty solid.

Fair enough. My only gripe with Lagunitas is that almost all their beers taste like their IPA but with moar hops and maybe some random ingredient tossed into the recipe. I guess maybe that is their niche, but I have friends in Sonoma who drink nothing but Lagunitas and offer me their obscure/new/under the radar beers and everything I try essentially tastes like a bizzaro IPA of some kind.

Call me a traditionalist, but I don't need triple the hops in my non-IPA beers to enjoy them. I don't want my porters, stouts, brown ales, etc. to taste like a fugging IPA.

Right now I'm pretty much a fan of anything Terminal Gravity produces. Double Mountain too.

This may be the best beer I've ever enjoyed......to this point, that is.

In fact, I've got a 6-er chilling to take with me over to Homer Loves Kool-Aid's place on Sunday when we (including Sly, BlazerWookee, Lanny, Hobbs, and the Blazer Dancers) chow down on some fresh fish & chips prior to watching the Blazers save the latter part of their late season slide against the Nuggets.

    Cheers, mates!

    Not true.

That said.....abuse of alcohol is of the devil.

PS: I know how to turn wine into water......er, waste. :)

Anyone else had this one before? I saw it at a bar in Oakland and had to try it since its from Speakeasy and I'd never tasted it before. It was quite fugging excellent and now one of my favorite beers. Can't believe how little its pimped and how hard it is to find, even in and around SF.

BTW the tap handle at the bar I was at is way cooler than the logo on the bottles. Its got a black and white Al Capone on it.
