Houston Rockets Re-Assign Jones to NBA D-League

    The Houston Rockets today re-assigned Terrence Jones to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Houston's NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the record 161st of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, while Jones is one of a record 56 players to have been assigned to the NBA D-League this season.

    Jones (6-9, 252, Kentucky) re-joins the Vipers following five previous assignments when he played in 17 games, 15 starts, and averaged 18.4 points and 9.3 rebounds. He has appeared in 11 games for Houston this season, averaging 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds.

    Jones is expected to join the Vipers today and be available tonight when the team hosts the Iowa Energy at 8 p.m. ET.
