I always remembered Portland usually strong for most the beginning of the season and falter come march. With this team; it seems to be when we play our best basketball.

What does this mean? Are we actually as bad as our record indicates? Is this just a reflection of how this team plays during games (starting off slow, fall behind big, then come back and make a game out of it).

I know so many of you think our season is all but over, but if you've noticed how this team's storyline been all season; we know its not over until the fat lady sings.

Look at the games when we were down by +20 and came roaring back in the fourth to win the game. It's been like this almost on a consistent basis. Sometimes I feel it's better to just watch the second half.

So for those that are still pessimistic about this season; I don't deny you have a safe bet. But for those that still believe; the slim sliver of hope and success could be the ultimate reward!

I believe the blazers will make the playoffs. They haven't given me any reason that they quit!

We waited a little to long to play strong. Gave up to many meaningful games, its going to take a sick streak like 9 of the next 10 to give us a realistic shot.

But like I posted; we've even said that during games. How many times I wanted to turn the t.v. off; then they miraculously turned the game around.

So as I said; it looks incredibly impossible; but they've already proved they can overcome from the impossible.

10-3 the rest of the way is probably good enough. Maybe 9-5 if the Lakers blow this next road trip.

Hmmm, that's interesting the Blazers finished the 2010 Season (after the All-Star Break) 22-9. I seem to remember them finishing strong, with the exception of last season. Where they obviously packed it in.

You're right! I stand corrected about faltering in march.

The best reason to make the playoffs is to make it so the Lakers don't.

Oh man that would be epic! That the blazers were the reason why the lakers missed the playoffs.

I would just as gladly take the 2nd option where the L*kers are reason they don't make the playoffs :-)

Keep in mind that Utah and Dallas could propel Portland with zero draft pick.

Yeah Utah could go into tank mode if they fall too far behind. Dallas could too. If we keep winning; we can make our own destiny.

Utah is dead in the water and seems to be tanking, i have no doubt we will pass them. You can't count on the Eastern lottery teams to pass us in the standing either, so i guess you have to hope we make it into the playoffs because we're probably too good and would have to out tank Utah, and it doesn't seem like they will tank right now.
