It's funny, I really have nothing invested in whether Gonzaga does well or not, but there was a group of loud and annoying guys at the restaurant last night who were watching the game. They were freaking out any time Gonzaga scored, so I found it fairly hilarious when the Zags choked and were sent packing by Wichita State

Except, as it was pointed out earlier, Aldridge actually made an elite 8.

    Fail.

I don't really equate a college players team success having any bearing on what they're going to do in the pros. If that were the case would you rather have Khalid El-Amin and Mateen Cleaves over Lillard?

Such a stupid thing to even bring up as some kind of point.

    Fail.

Except, you're the one who tried bringing it up.

Uh, you said he's a perennial loser. I know its hard, but try and stay up on the conversation here.

I was really disappointed in Olynyk's tournament performance. His overall numbers looked good but I thought he looked like he was struggling with the speed of the game and was getting out-athleted a bit. Olynyk moves decently for a big man (and has a nice skillset in general, for college) but he just doesn't have the quick-twitch/explosion that I think someone like him would need to excel in the league. It was especially noticeable (and disappointing) against Southern. I think you need to be more of a bowling ball like Randolph, Millsap, Jefferson, etc. if you're a below-the-room big.

He's a lottery pick this year but only because the draft is so weak.

It's not wrong to say he's a perennial loser. What exactly has he won in his 3 years at Gonzaga?

And it was such a stupid thing to bring up, then you should have never tried arguing it in the first place.

Or tried bringing up Aldridge's history....which backfired hilariously.

I never argued it smart guy. You said he's a perennial loser. Like a teams success has anything to do with how a guy projects in the NBA. Its like your new to this watching sports thing.

I know you try hard, but step up your game its a little weak.

Were you one of those jabroni's that didn't want to draft Lillard because he was a 'perennial loser'?

Wait a minute! You blame losses on Aldridge. Now that it's on your boi; you got this team concept argument?

So what you are saying is "as long as it works on my argument; it's in play; but if it goes against your argument it's a foul" Got it!

Aww, is someone getting a little mad?

You spent months pumping the Zags and Olynyk only to have them get bounced in the second round as a 1st seed. For someone who loves tooting their own horn as much as you do, I know it can be hard.

Suck it up, I'm rooting for you!

Pretty amazing that Vitale called this upset though.

I pumped Olynyk, not the Zags. My thoughts of him as a prospect have nothing to do with how far he went in the tourney.

As far as being mad, I don't get mad chatting with anonymous people on a message board. I'm more pissed about my Zags losing than anything some random troll on an internet forum has to say about them losing.

The Aldridge thing was a serious question I think I was a senior in high school he was in college and I was so pissed about my Zags losing in heartbreaking fashion that year that I vowed not watch anymore of the tournament that year.

But, really if you think your making me mad. You need to step your game up a couple notches.

...And as much as they let me down I'll always be Zags fan. Just like how I'm a Blazer fan. I love to be disappointed.

Anybody thats a Blazer fan that talks smack to a Gonzaga fan about being letdowns needs to look in the mirror.

I never blame losses solely on a player. Link it up.

    This is true.

And I agree that Gonzaga losing shouldn't really effect opinions on Olynyk.

Look no further than the "Aldridge quit" thread. When the loss came and the thread title blamed the loss on Aldridge; you agreed.
