Looking weird is very easily fixed. These aren't normal glasses, presumably you'd be taking better care of these. I cannot imagine there being any problem at all regarding using it with sunglasses. If you have to "attatch" a 3G/4G phone to it, I highly doubt there would be any cord... These will definitely catch on, I think anyone who says otherwise is just in denial. I would never get them, BTW.
I love that they have some hot chic wearing 'em...... as if! They need to have some dork like the guys on here wearing them down in their moms basement! #reallife
Totally useless while making the wearer look like a dork and severely impeding the ability to walk without bumping into things.
What the hell are they? What the hell do they do? I know the answer; I'm just testing you youngsters.
Can you imagine hanging out with someone wearing those? It'd be like hanging out with the annoying girl that wants to take pictures of everything 24/7. That, and how self-important would you have to be to really want a pair? I already get annoyed at people who post too many stupid videos and pics on facebook. I can't imagine the douches that think you're interested in every aspect of their life. There's also the added element that comes with being able to broadcast your every life action available to a restricted public. With that said, it's cool technology, but the side effects coming from the realistic usage of the glasses overshadow the technological advances and outside-the-box thinking that the glasses embody.
I think Google should focus more on their self-driving cars. Now THAT is something I would love to have, especially during my fairly frequent long boring slogs up and down I5.
they should have the screen run across the entire front, and regular glasses/shades below that, like a modified bifocal
I agree with all the criticisms here, and would like to point out that this will almost certainly be a generational thing. Once the prices come down, I guarantee that this (or something like this) will become as common as smart phones. This is the near future, and we are all going to be dragged (kicking and screaming) into it. I'm already preparing a "no ocular implants until you're 18" speech for my son...
I think it's for more than just taking pictures. But still, I mean, how often are you out to eat, at a bar, happy hour, whatever, and look around and see tables of people checking their phones? It'd be the same thing, without seeing a whole bunch of people staring down into their palms, I'd think.
Exactly. Now everyone will just be staring into space as they read their email, which is a little creepy to me. At least now, you can TELL when somebody has checked out to play a round of Angry Birds...
probably easier to slyly take a pic on your phone while pretending to read something than it would be to say Ok glasses, take a pic of that girl's ass.
