So Nick Diaz & Co. are filing an official complaint regarding the AC in Quebec for allowing GSP & Diaz to be up to 0.9-lbs. over the weight limit of 170-lbs. for their title fight (although had either fighter been in that range they would've been given an hour to get down to 170-lbs). Diaz's camp think that the AC was tilting the odds in GSP's favour, considering the champ was sick and they suspect he wasn't on-weight (AC reported that he was). They are demanding a rematch and that the result of the bout be overturned. Probably not going to fly. The Quebec AC has problems but their last five UFC title fights have followed the same procedure so this is nothing new unless you are part of a camp that is disorganized and paranoid... This is the latest in a BJ Penn-style barrage of excuses following Diaz's comprehensive loss to GSP at UFC 158. Diaz is one of my favourite fighters to watch (probably my favourite overall) and I find his antics entertaining but the fallout from 158 has been pathetic. Here is a list of all the issues and excuses he and his camp have made leading up to and following the bout: -- GSP was scared to fight Nick at UFC 137 (chose to fight Nick instead of Hendricks at UFC 158) -- GSP is on steroids and they won't/didn't monitor his post-fight test properly -- The UFC conspired to fly Nick to Montreal late to make him worn-out -- Toxic airplane water -- "Canadian" time change between California and Quebec -- GSP allowed to be overweight by hometown commission (both fighters made weight) -- Wouldn't let them inspect GSP's hand wraps after Jake Shields signed-off on them (Quebec AC & UFC looked at them after fight and found no irregularities) -- GSP was going to lay on him, hit him with elbows; rules are skewed to his style -- Nick slept until 8pm on fight night and didn't feel awake until after the fight -- GSP had spies in Nick's fight camp that warned him about the rolling kneebar -- Nick didn't have any good training partners to prepare him for wrestling -- Caesar Gracie wasn't there to coach him at the fight -- Everybody hates him and wants him to lose including the UFC
Alligator mouth + hummingbird ass. I used to enjoy him because he was an exciting fighter.....but I am just tired of the BS.
