as if the Blazers are in the playoffs. (I know there not quite out yet but it's not looking very likely) Or will you say "fuck it" and pick it up when the NBA finals begin? You know it's going to be Thunder vs. Heat.

No, if the Blazers are in the playoffs I take them much more seriously - I'll probably watch some without but not religiously.

without the Blazers I am a casual fan, watching games when I have nothing else to do unless its a game 7 or the finals.

Without the Blazers, the NBA drops to below Soccer on my list of preferred sports. I have no interest in any games in which they aren't involved.

I find myself in the same predicament every year. If the Blazers make the playoffs I'm all about watching everything even after they get bounced, but if they won't make them I find myself start to step away from watching for the last month(except for Blazer games of course) but ill watch sportscenter or go onto espn to keep up with standings. Once the playoffs began I suddenly get very intrested and catch every playoff game I can.
As much as I harp on what's wrong with the NBA and what I consider biased and unfair reffing, I simply enjoy the game of basketball to much not to watch and pay attention to the playoffs.

I fucking love the playoffs whether the Blazers are in it or not. I watch almost every game. I especially love the first game and weekend. Suddenly, everyone plays harder and everything is magnified. I love it. I pick teams to root for throughout and it's a blast.

Playoff basketball is amazing. My favorite sport and the best postseason, what's not to like?

I guess a lot of people here are just Blazer fans, not basketball fans.

Won't watch a single game - I'll be at the Rose Garden watching the Winterhawks in the playoffs - hockey playoffs trump all anyway.

Playoff basketball is great but its hard to feel like it means the same without the Blazers. With that said I dont think it takes away from the excitement of the games themselves.

    I am a Blazer fan.

    I am a basketball fan.

I am not an NBA fan. The NBA is a joke.

Well I guess for some people it's hard to be when you live in a small market and the odds are always stacked against you. The problem with the NBA is not just location but all the stars that really matter
    are in large market city's.

All four of those players were drafted by those cities. And you think New Orleans is a small market?
