Not that I believe in new earth; but are you aware of how man; with the science we have can artificially create diamonds that don't take thousands of years old?

Did you know that modern technology gives us the power to separate an atom? Did you know that when those things happen naturally; we are talking millions of years, maybe billions?

You act as though the universe would be impossible to not form sooner. It's not impossible.

Mags, your post kinda' confused me. I just know that people who live by and believe 100% in the bible think that that we've only been around a couple thousand years, right? Look, I don't want to offend anybody who is pro bible/religion....... but I just wish people would admit it is just a "story"..... it's not real. No different than The Lord of the Rings or other classic fictional books.

So basically you're saying "No offense religious people, but I just wish you'd admit your religion isn't true"

Do you honestly in the year 2013 with the technology and facts that we have before us, believe the bible and it's stories inside (even though they almost all contradict each other) is historical truth? Really?

What does what year we are in have to do with what's true or not? The Bible even says that knowledge will increase and man will travel to and fro all around the world, but foolishness, pride, lust, hate etc. will as well which is happening as well. Each generation seems to get worse and more desensitized than the next. When will it stop? Do you believe evil exists? You seem to just go off of what you hear, I suggest you study these matters and even pray to God for him to reveal himself to you in some way.

No, the Noah story was supposedly 7,013 years ago. There was still man a few thousand years before that, according to genesis

SO in spite of all of our scientific discoveries, you believe the world is only 10,000 years old. C'Mon Mags, you have a little bit of common sense in that dome.

You seem close minded to me then because I take the time to study both sides. I've also studied most world religions, especially Islam.

Can you give me an example of these scientific discoveries? Radiometric dating, which has its own presuppositions depending on what side of the philosophical fence you stand on?

Contradict? How so? I mean what contradictions are you talking about?

I've been down this road before on other threads.

Let me ask you a question.

How would you explain your video editing to a 10 year old?

I believe in old earth and universe, because the natural science proves it. What natural science can't prove was the time or moment and speed everything went before the Big Bang.

If there was anything possible with an almighty God; creating the universe in 7 days shouldn't be hard. Shit our primitive science can create diamonds in a couple days.

Yeah, and we can barely understand half the stuff here on earth, yet we think we can analyze the universe and know where it came from and where it's going. Right.

The theory of abiogenesis is also a joke to real science, which is probably why most people shy away from it and say it's not part of evolution so they don't have to explain it. Even if we managed to make life (which we won't), it would be the product of intelligent design, not chance chemicals going through the motions.

You guys are much more knowledgable when it comes to this topic. But being such smart guys, it surprises me you would think this book is historically correct. I told you I love that religion helps people live better lives, I just don't think these stories really happened. Mags, I'm a little confused by my work and describing it to little girl.

For arguments sake, you guys believe in the talking snake but NOT evolution? And neither answered my question about 2 of EVERY species on the planet fitting on one boat. And to answer an earlier question, I am not trying to offend.
