Oh, I had forgotten that was him involved in the Arenas guns ordeal http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ex-nba-player-indicted-murder-235158187--nba.html
I went with Storyteller to the summer league games and he was a rookie. He didn't suck. Bad attitude. A real shame.
I wonder if Arenas is tripping. He dared Crittenton to a gun fight basically. Good thing the dare was in a locker room and not in an alley or Arenas might not be alive today.
But hey at least he "kept it real". SMH ... sad but at the same time when you have a chance to make money and get away from all that you have to be smart enough to leave that stuff behind.
Depends on what you consider a "gang sign" that finger gesture you see people throw up after they hit a 3..... Would have got you shot in NE Portland in the late 80s...... That was the symbol for the Woodlawn Park Bloods. Sent from HCPs Baller-Ass iPhone 5...FAMS!
Piru Blood. IIRC, a Hawks player knocked Pierce down and said something to him as he ran past. Timeout was called, Pierce walked towards half court, waited until the other player made eye contact, and flashed this sign. Speculation was that the other player had a history with the Crips, and said something gangster to Pierce. EDIT: It was Al Horford. I'm not aware of any history of gang affiliation with him, so maybe he was just taunting hard and not being gangster...
All the above. This is just a sad situation. A man was so lost in a violent world that he turns into a murderer, and destroys the lives of others. It's sad when anyone falls into that life, but it feels even worse when someone is given a way out, a route to a better life, a chance to start anew, and even in that situation they can't find the inner strength to reflect and change. Artest is a man who I believe truly tried as hard as he could to start a new life, and it worked for him. Same goes for a whole bunch of others. But some just can't see the benefit to change, or are incapable of change. Either way, it's sad.
I blame Bush for creating this kind of culture. If not for his tax cuts for the rich, Crittendon wouldn't be flashing all that jewelry, and not have killed anyone.
I can't believe everyone here missed in the article the key piece of his downfall: Of course he was doomed.
