Last night picked up food from Pok Pok. Bill is 35$, since its just take out I leave 3.50 which is 10%.

When you get food to go and eat elsewhere, what do you tip?

$0, unless its a place I frequent and know the people.

They're not waiting on you, refilling your drink, etc.

For delivery, I tip a flat $2. There's always a delivery charge on top of that.

It's more like $4.50 with the delivery charge. But I don't order out much anyway.

I never order food delivered to my home. Generally speaking, I tip around 10% for take-out.

you should tip at least 15% for delivery, i mean not only are you to lazy to cook, but you are too lazy to pick it up as well

0% to a few dollars, I usually try and use cash just so I dont feel like an ass for putting 0 on the tip line. I really hate the tipping as an expectation in our culture, I even saw a tip jar at a gas station/A&W awhile go. I do usually tip delivery guys well though, even with the delivery charge, they have shitty jobs and I order frequently from a few of the same places, plus I feel its a luxery/service worth having.

Yes. The way I look at it is, take out employees are entry level positions...or, at least, should be. When they prove to management they can be servers, tips then accompany the advanced position.

I tip the gas station attendant all the time. Only a buck or two but they never get tips and they always really appreciate it.

As far as the delivery guys go I always tip them $5 or more. That's a rough and dangerous gig. Most of those guys only work for as along as the dinner rush lasts. Delivery people get robbed more often than convience store clerks. Also I can afford it.

How much should you tip the UPS driver?

    He delivers to you, right?

At least 20% either way. Eat in, they serve you. Take out they serve you from a longer distance and often use special takeout hardware.
