It pretty much happens in most game threads by any fan base. Everytime a lot of contact is made regardless of the play (even if its implied contact were you can't really tell if it was an actual foul or not) and its not called then someone, usually me and a few others, make a comment about it. Then when there is little to no contact on plays we bitch about it. I know I get pretty bad when i'v been drinking but from all the game thread i'v read from places like RealGM, Lakersground, rubechat, ect it seems pretty normal. Its definitely annoying when your not a big fan of the team, and even sometimes when you are, but in the heat of the moment its understandable how overreactions can occur. Especially when, as a lot of people on this board, you believe the NBA is either rigged or greatly weighted towards certain players/organizations.

Wow, that was a fun game to take my father to. It sucked we lost but most of the game was very very entertaining. After watching so many road games live, I was looking forward to being surrounded by Blazers fans, not crowds of Lakers fans. I know Laker fans show up to these games but this was more than usual. What a joke. This was a legendary game. I wish it had gone in our favor. NOVoodoo, you should go to Lakersground.net. They actually believe the league is out to get them and they blame the refs for all their losses. It's comical. ABM, I won't gag you. But I'd love to gag HCP.

BlaZers will be good next year. Sucks that Philly lost.

Enough with the big pansy #12 Aldridge.
How many times do we have to see him standing still not contesting the ball, watching as an opponent rebounds or scores.
The guy is just flat out weak sauce and his soft/jumpshooting type game will never translate into winning it all.

Absolutely pathetic he was. If he at least half shows up, we win this game.
    Trade him ASAP Mr Olshey!

Because the team needs to move forward, and even though Meyers is not the answer, neither is Hickson.

I've gone to a lot of Blazer Laker games and that was the most Laker support I have seen.

That MVP chant was embarrassingly loud. And the "Let's Go ____" chants were just slightly more Blazers than Lakers.

Brother, I'm with you. I am busy when these game threads are active, but I always go and read them at the end of the night. It's funny to me how some posters who I usually respect their opinion...... they come into a game thread and lose all sense of reality. The best is the handful of guys who if we are down in the first quarter are just SLAMMING players left and right, then kissing their asses when we come back and win! These game threads are as bi-polar as they get!

Pretty much this. Bitching about refs is a time-honored tradition of sports-fandom! Of course most of us recognize that ref-griping is 90% bullshit, because we're willfully ignoring all of the bad calls that actually helped us, but against certain teams, and in certain situations, it's hard to deny a very real officiation imbalance.

For example: both of Lillard's first two three's were illegitimate. However, they only reviewed and rescinded one of them.

Nice guys finish last. Waiting around for NBA refs to call a fair game is not going to cut it.

Aldridge had a season high 16 rebounds last night and scored efficiently in the flow of the game. Never forced anything. What killed us was the clear path foul.
