ESPN has been hyping the Masters all week and they don't/can't show Tiger at all today. Other than a couple holes, he won't be streamed online either. And then tomorrow he'll be both on TV AND online. Way to not give the viewers what they want to see.
I will be watching this all weekend from the comfort of my theater room via 100" projection screen TV. Not a huge fan of watching golf on TV. But damn, it's the Super Bowl of golf. And the big screen (and booze) makes it easier to watch.
In general I don't watch, but for the majors or whenever Tiger is doing well I'll tune in. I work from home, so I just figured I'd have it on all day.
Freddie Boom-Boom off to a hot start, will he provide more Masters magic again?! EDIT: and then he bogeys the very next hole
...are Sergio Garcia and Dustin Johnson wearing the exact same shirt?! Did Addidas make them do this?!
The old Tiger, you are almost ready to give him the green jacket being on top going into the weekend. Don't think Tiger will run away with it, but he has got to be the favorite heading into this weekends play. I'll be glued to the TV Saturday . .. and hopefully Sunday
You jinxed him! He hit a great shot that hit the pin rather than bounce past and ended up in the water. A potential birdie into a bogey and then he bogeyed 18 as well. On the bright side, unless Day holes out his chip, the 14 year old is going to make the cut.
Man, I'm going to have some fuckin great naps this weekend. Something about the Masters, it just puts me to sleep. I'm not even saying that to talk shit, but there's something a little too soothing about everything involved with the Masters... it always hits me harder than Nyquil.
I know... that and the quiet, soothing announcers, the beautiful scenery, etc. It's just a powder keg of sleeping powder ready to explode all over your living room. I honestly wish Daly was still on the tour. He still plays at every FedEx/St. Jude tour (a stop on the PGA tour that Tiger's always ignored), but he's ineligible any other PGA tournaments. We used to sneak into the FedEx/St. Jude and watch him play when we were kids, and it was always a great time. He'd finish towards the top almost every time, but he'd be drinking, smoking, eating, and telling jokes through the entire 18. I tried following McElroy this past summer, just because he's a big name, but I eventually got bored and went and found Daly.
Controversy @ The Masters. Tiger penalized 2 strokes (now 3 shots off the lead). However, some think he should have been disqualified altogether. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/golf-...alty-no-disqualification-134047393--golf.html
One of my favorite golfers, Angel Cabrera, (2007 U.S Open winner over Woods and Furyk) is only 2 shots off the lead.
