I have been trying to cut back on red meat and even chicken, and eat more vegetarian or seafood meals. Also trying to cut down on any sausage, bacon, or salami. Just wondering
I've cut down a lot. But I still enjoy korean bbq....but I used to get a few burgers per week but I've cut them down to maybe 1 every 2 weeks.
I eat as much as my girlfriend will let me, which isnt much these days. Turkey and Salmon burgers are good alternatives. We also substitute ground turkey for ground beef for most meals, after you get use to it its not a big deal. I will not give up my bacon though, a man has to draw a line somewhere!!
I've been trying to lavash wraps with turkey/chicken. also poached fish...also do a lot of quinoa lately with veggies and a lean protein. cheap and healthy.
Very little. Maybe once a week at most (although during my sabbatical I'm going to try restaurants and probably will eat more meat than usual, but what one consumes on vacation doesn't count!) I eat a lot of legumes, they are so tasty and there are a lot. If you don't want total vegan, one sausage flavors a whole pot of lentils, for example. Usually eat chicken when I have dead animals. Being an urban farmer in California helps, there is always something in my garden to eat.
I used to eat red meat 2-3 times per week. Now, I've cut way back. Maybe once per week now. But I've filled that emptiness with more red wine. So I get the proper amount of redness.
I eat a steak probably once a month. turkey, fish, chicken, pork are common for me though. I still eat bacon, only turkey bacon though. i think it tastes better tbh
I read this thread earlier and decided to thaw out some ground turkey meat and made Turkey taco's. They were delicious!
