Jan Hejda didn't blink when he found himself open near the blue line late in a tie game. No, he simply shut his eyes and shot. After all, isn't that what all the goal scorers do? The Colorado defenseman scored his first goal of the season -- not that he even got to see it -- with 7.6 seconds remaining to help the Avalanche rally for a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.
