Exactly. But that's what they want. The ROY discussion has been over for months, and virtually everyone has already given the award to Lillard, so I'm sure ESPN loves trying to inject some argument back into the debate. And of course it's some no-name hack writing it, because they can't have one of their well known guys putting out this kind of bullshit.

the crazy thing for me is that this isn't even a "Mike Trout vs. Miggy Cabrera" situation, where people are insanely split on it. ONE CLOWNSHOE NOH fan decides to write up his Ode to Chuck Swirsky and ESPN puts it on the front page. No one else in America is saying that a guy who will sweep every Rookie of the Month award shouldn't win RoY.

Here's the thing, he covers the Warriors. He claims he's impartial on the matter. You'd love some of his tweets though.

He claims that Dame is only the ROY because of the Portland fanbase. I shit you not.

This guy is actually arguing that Dame is ROY because the Portland fanbase has been pushing him. It's hilarious.

Yet another example of why I ignore most discussions relating to someone's PER.
It should account for about 10% when on selecting your players .

You know I am not one who enjoys the homer nation type of posts where we all whine because our guy got a raw deal in the press, but this guy is just stupid. He is totally reaching for some reason

I think the reason is obvious. He wants attention.

I mean, Davis beats lillard in every single advanced statistic except ast% an OWS
    I'd pick davis

Edit: I'd also rather have Davis going forward

Well of course you'd pick him. He's missed 1/4 his season. He'd fit right in on the Wolves MASH unit. He can trade rehab tips with Love and Rubio.

I'd rather be injured and have HA the potential to be a playoff team than watch as my team burns its starters into the ground on a team that never really had a chance

Oh the potential to be a playoff team... at what point do you actually become a playoff team? Let me know when you guys make it. I'll keep the cake in the freezer.

It's a shame that the league isn't run by per 36's, otherwise Rubio would be MVP and Davis would be ROY, and the Wolves might make the playoffs more than once a decade.

But Davis had a better season numbers wise!

Of course Damian put up numbers that nobody has seen since Allen Iverson, Oscar Robertson, Isiah Thomas, and LeBron, but hey.... Davis is the superior player. It's cool.

We were an 8th seed when Ricky went down
Then we added andrei kirilenko, alexey shved, chase budinger, and Dante Cunningham to replace Wes johnson, Michael Beasley, and darko milicic.
So we have a better team now. Both Ricky and love start of the season hurt.
Pek and Ak miss around 15-20 games
Chase, one of our 2 floor spacers tears his meniscus game 6.
Adelmans wife starts having unexplained seizures.
Josh Howard tears his ACL. Love breaks his hand again.

But you Portland basketball geniuses can't recognize

Full reign of the team? LaMarcus Aldridge?

Obviously it's the 38 minutes per game that caused him to put up so many stats. That's obviously it, because everyone who plays 38 minutes per game averages numbers like Lillard.
