IBF & WBF Female Light Welterweight Champion of the World Holly Holm (32-2-3) will retire from boxing after her fight with Mary McGee on May 11th to pursue a full-time career in MMA. The two-time female fighter of the year (Ring Magazine) is a former professional kickboxer from Albuquerque who has been training at Jackson's Submission Fighting and with Mike Winklejohn. She is 3-0 as an MMA fighter with all of her wins coming via (T)KO. The 31-year old is being accused of switching paths in order to avoid Cecilia Brækhus (22-0) by, naturally, Brækhus camp.
