No one? These are looking like some of the strongest Hoops Summit rosters I've seen in a while. It could be a good chance to see some of the international draft prospects for the Blazers in person. Here are the rosters - (DraftExpress projected draft position in parenthesis) Team USA Aaron Gordon (#3 in '14) Aaron Harrison (#9 in '14) Andrew Harrison (#5 in '14) Kasey Hill Rondaé Hollis-Jefferson Demetrius Jackson Jabari Parker (#2 in '14 - nbadraft.net) Bobby Portis Julius Randle (#2 in '14) Noah Vonleh (#5 in '14 - nbadraft.net) International Gabriel Deck Tomas Dimsa Joel Embiid (seven footer committed to Kansas) Dante Exum (#8 in '14) Livio Jean-Charles Nikola Ivanovic Mouhammadou Jaiteh (#25 in '13) Sergey Karasey (#23 in '13) Dennis Schröder (#17 in '14 - but also eligible for this year's draft, 50/50 on coming out) Karl Towns, Jr. (one of the top HS Jr.'s in the country - committed to Kentucky) Andrew Wiggins (#1 in '14)
I got a chance to see it in '07, and while going to a high school competition might seem trivial to an NBA fan, these are some big time names and talents. To put in perspective, here are some of the guys I saw in '07 - International - Portland's own Nic Batum. USA - Derrick Rose, Kevin Love, Michael Beasley, O.J. Mayo, Nolan Smith, Jerryd Bayless, Kyle Singler, etc. (they all made the league) And this year's class blows that year's away, both from the US and the International team.
Started in Portland......went to Memphis for some random reason for 1 or 2 years and has been back here for the past 6.
