    I'd probably throw in Daughtry as well and maybe Kelly Pickler and Clay Aiken. I know he has sold a bunch of albums.

    A lot of them have had success on Broadway. Constantine just opened on Broadway in Jeckyll and Hyde a couple nights ago. Fantasia was amazing in The Color Purple. Katherine McPhee and Jennifer Hudson were on the TV show Smash (it was a flop but still a good credit) and Jennifer Hudson won a fucking Oscar for best supporting actress in Dreamgirls. American Idol is the best platform for young singing talent. Period. I still watch it because I love Nicki Minaj's comments. She is smart and very funny.

    I think Nicki Minaj's does\says a lot of the things just to grab attention.
