While I tend towards optimism, I've seen the Bulls in the playoffs without Rose and Noah, their two best players, and it wasn't pretty. No reason to think that the sequel will end differently. Damn shame.

I'm with you. I think we'll do better than last year because we're more accustomed to their loss, but I don't see this team's hustle and muscle being able to get them out of a 7 game series where the other team has the two best players.

    Nets in 6.

I'm always very optimistic. I can see the Bulls win one of the first two games.

    Bulls in 6.

Last year without Noah and Rose the Bulls lost to the Sixers.

This year we don't have Watson, Korver, Brewer or Asik.

We've replaced them with Nate, a better Jimmy Butler, Marco and Nazr.

The only way its better than last year for the Bulls is that they are used to playing without Rose and Noah for the mostpart and they have a guy in Nate that can generate offense on his own with 5 seconds left on the shot clock or less.

I say Nets in 7 but the Bulls could win the series.

Sadly a lot is riding on Kirk and Nazr. A LOT is riding on Nate Robinson. That's not a really good situation. We really miss Asik.

Undeniable. If we had Asik we'd have a starting-caliber NBA center despite the fact that our All Star starting center is hobbled with plantar fasciitis. Is it greedy to want all that while other NBA teams are starving for just one good center? Damn straight...I'm an American after all.

There is a spirit of gloom abounding. Hard to deny it is reasonable....

I don't think last year compares to this year. For a number of reasons. I still think we dominate. But if the crutches get kicked out on us much more, then, well, Que sera, sera...

GH, you're the only one here to whom I willingly yield the "top optimist" mantle. This season's Bulls team deserves our respect and appreciation. They played hard damn near every game. They achieved more than any of us had a right to expect.

Before Rose, we considered a .500 record to be something of a victory. After Rose, but without Rose, we should consider 8 games over .500 something of a miracle, but we've lost our perspective.

Honestly, I was looking forward to seeing how the Bulls would do in the playoffs without Rose, but with everyone else. It's been a long time since the Bulls have had 6 or more of their top 7 players healthy, not counting Rose. When I heard that Noah's come up lame, it broke my heart. While it's still easier to be a Bulls' fan than, say, a Bobcats fan, but this has been a tough season.

We can beat the Nets. You have to remember, they haven't been in the playoffs for a couple of years.

I dont know if we will beat them. Most teams, 'turn it on,' when they get to the playoffs. They turn it up a knotch. This team turn's it on, all season long. The little extra effort for the playoffs is just that, very little extra effort.

If Noah sits out the entire series, it will be very difficult indeed.

We need Robinson, and Butler to play the way they have in the second have of the season. We dont get any injuries, we have a chance to advance to the second round.

Looked like Williams faked Hinrich so hard that Kirk ended up out of bounds on the sideline. Williams hit the wide open shot. Kirk tried to get it back at the other end, but missed the shot.
