Is we SUCK. We have no concept of how to play defense. We are so far from being a good team it's ridiculous.
You gotta have enough players to play defense, right now we have like 5 and none of them are a much of a center. Playoffs are all about solid depth 1-5.
To be fair, you could've said exactly the same thing about Golden State last year. It's possible to turn it around with basically the same coach AND personnel. Dunno how, though.
I wonder what our record was when everyone was healthy. I think we were at least .500. We just didn't have depth to fall back on when people were hurt.
Uh who said that about GS? They just needed to get healthy. Bogut makes a huge difference, and Curry played damn near 80 games on his ankle.
It's hard to remember that we weren't horrible for stretches during this season, given how the season ended. Having a bench would probably help.
The Blazers just need to build some depth + add another really solid piece. Aldridge and Lillard are better than any player on the Nuggets. Well, Lawson and Lillard are probably a tie at this point. I'll take Lillard going forward, though. At the same time, George Karl >>>>>>>>>>>> Terry Stotts. Blazers will still need a new coach at some point.
I think the team as constructed NOW is far away. But add 2 or 3 solid bench players/or 1 starter/2 bench players, and it would be a huge difference. Actually get them to play defense? It'll be a miracle...er..I mean, a much better team.
