I wonder if Denver is intentionally stashing him on the bench so no one sees him.

He is listed at 7'1" 270 on one site. I assume he is more physical than Leonard. This is where our scouts come in since he has barely played this year. I say they match him at 7 mil. Possibly at 8 mil too. I think if we want him then we need to over pay for him. So 9 mil is still my guess. Unless he sucks and Denver will laughing their asses off.

8 or 9 seems like a pretty big overpay. I'd think you could get him for 5, maybe even slightly less. And if they matched, they'd then likely be desperate to dump McGee.

I cant say i know his game but why does it feel like overpaying for Mosgov is more hope than potential? That scares me

Well he is certainly much more athletic than I remember. Why is he not playing? And why does his DRtg look so bad? Again it just feels like something is missing or just not right about it.

It does feel that way. But like I said this is where our scouts should earn their freaking money. They should know something more than we do. He certainly passes the eyeball test of being big and mobile.

I'd rather have him than Leonard, but I don't think he should be a serious option for our starting center

At 3x the price, would you rather have him than Leonard?

Thinking outside the box here, but what about a center who plays decent minutes (19 mpg), has Per 36 averages of 20/10/1.3, has a defensive rating of 101 and a PER of 21.9 who will be a UFA this summer.

Also, for those that hate the idea of adding McGee because he is "dumb", the guy has a 20.7 PER and a defensive rating of 102. His career PER is 18.4

Andray Blatche is best suited for the bench

The problem with Howard is he wouldn't take MAX salary to play for the Bulls with Rose, Deng, Boozer, etc. That'd be a really stacked team.

His reason was that he wants to be "THE man."

I think people don't like the idea of paying McGee over $11m/year for the next 3 years. If he wasn't on that ridiculous contract, of course people would want him. There's this thing called the salary cap, and if you want to spend this summer's cap space on McGee, well, I once again question your basketball knowledge.

Just saw the mention of DRtg

    :sigh:

This is not a good indicator of individual defense. It's so tied in to the team that it's pretty much useless.
