Both were in action this weekend.

    Matt Brown, welterweight:

Chris Cope (TKO), Stephen Thompson (decision), Luis Ramos (TKO), Mike Swick (KO), and Jordan Mein (TKO)

Before his current hot streak Brown had lost four of five.

    Francis Carmont, middleweight:

Chris Camozzi (decision), Magnus Cedenbald (submission), Karlos Vemloa (submission), Tom Lawlor (decision), Lorenz Larkin (decision)

Camont has won ten straight fights but only five in the UFC.

In my estimation Brown is at least two more wins away from a title shot. He needs to beat two ranked fighters. Carmont could get a title shot win an impressive win over a ranked opponent but is also likely two fights away.
