Toni Kukoc is telling friends he plans to play another year, and that his choice is between the Bulls and Milwaukee, with a strong leaning toward returning to his first NBA team. The unrestricted free agent probably doesn?t have a lot to offer any team physically at 38 (Sept. 18). But he might be able to give the Bulls some key minutes here or there, especially in the postseason, and as a mentor perhaps he can impart some wisdom from his three-peat days under Michael Jordan. Arlington Heights Daily HeraldBut if Bulls GM John Paxson signs Kukoc, it won?t be in great measure because of what Kukoc can bring to the floor. Kukoc is one of the last links to a great time in Bulls history, a time Paxson was part of as player, coach and broadcaster, and the kind of time Paxson hopes Bulls fans will experience again very soon. Arlington Heights Daily Herald.wow this will bring more veteran leadership to this young team.
Well I think that if hes going to be playing in the nba next year it will be with the Bucks. There is no room for him in the bulls. The bulls pretty much have every position set and are ready to start the season.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The bulls pretty much have every position set and are ready to start the season.</div> Which makes the signing ideal. Kukoc would be the 14th or 15th man on this roster and will only need him in case of injury or a jam, especially playoff time. He'll provide good leadership on a young team and no complaints about minutes. Kukoc is really decling skill wise, so he would be in the perfect position on the Bulls.
The guys skills are declining really fast (I had to watch him this last season). Other than passing he's really not worth playing. People that have not watched him will say that he will be a 'great role player who can come off the bench' when he's not. He would be great on a young team as a guy that can help but other than that..eh.
yea..... i wouldnt mind him back on the bulls though... So he can retire where he started... I know Gordon wont give up his # though lol
its more like kukoc is looking at the Bulls, the bulls have never said they want him. tho i wouldnt mind having him back, he would provide some good minutes in crunch time
The Bulls and The Bucks? He needs to go to the Lakers and help some of the young guys out with the Triangle. I don't know why he isn't considering it.
Just cause he doesn't say the lakers is a option where he'd like to play doesn't mean he would be unhappy as a LA Laker. He would help the Bulls out alot though if he were able to go back but I don't think that would happen cause from what I remember the Bulls owners wanted to start over which is why they let him and everybody else go thru trades and releases after the 98 season and beginning of the 1999 lockout season.
what's the point? honestly, do they need anymore depth? Luol Deng and Andres Nocioni is MORE than enough at SF.
It be cool if he went to the Bulls as an assistant coach for the SF's. I think he'd help out great with his experience and all.
