Uhhhhh what do you want to know? I have a fairly extensive shoe collection. Always been told I have good taste.
What's hot for youth, and what should a 38 year old wear (everyday kicks, not some specific sport). What makes some so desired. Some seem ugly beyond all hell, what am I missing in my kicks DNA. How much do a pair of "good" kicks cost on average. Is it only about fashion, or is it also about features and quality.
I like the walking company for good quality shoes. I've thought about buying a pair of shoes with the curved bottoms (forget what they are called now). I end up buying a lot of NIke stuff because of the discount at the employee store, but I don't think Nike shoes offer anything different than other shoes except for their style. I know people who swear by their New Balance, but personally not my style. Lot's of different options, I say go with a name you trust and then pick a style.
If I'm buying Nikes I usually pay between $80 and $120, unless I can get a pass to the employee store. I'm big on Air Max's when it comes to Nike's. When I was younger it was all about the basketball shoes and Jordans. When I buy casual shoes (shoes I wear with jeans) its usually about $50-$75. I usually get them at Nordstrom Rack. I'm big on the brand 'Creative Recreation' and have several pairs. They go great with jeans. I also shop a lot on Amazon.
I used to rock boat shoes about 5 years ago until it became cliche, now I refuse. People my age were way late on that fad.
Nike never fit me. I get New Balance or Reebok. Love Walk Shop in Berkeley. I have wide feet and most shoe stores treat a woman with wide feet like she has Ebola. Walk Shop has all kinds of very nice shoes that fit. In fact it turned me into Imelda.
