Would Marco Belinelli be good for the Blazers? I beleive he's a free agent.

UFA. He kicked ass as a starter. Sucked off the bench. The guy can handle the ball very well for a SG.

He does have better ball handling skills than Mathews.

I think he put up 18/5/5 or close to it. As a starter in maybe 15 games.

He wouldn't be bad. Good shooter and like Denny said has above average handles for a SG. He would be a great first shooter off the bench candidate

    He's a UFA

The Bulls won't match anything beyond vet minimum for him, I bet.

    Nate Robinson is UFA, too.

I've never been a huge fan of Nate Robinson even though he is a great energy guy off the bench. I'm not opposed to have at least one knucklehead/ bad chemistry guy on the team as it's not always a bad thing.

Nate Robinson is not a knucklehead. Nor is he a bad chemistry guy. He's been the best guard on the Bulls all season long.

I think he's ideally suited to be instant offense player off the bench. The guy can both shoot and score (there is a difference).

Nate seems like a good chemistry guy to me. And yes, Bellinelli would be great.

Has anyone figured out why he has such a bad rap year after year? No one seems to want him around, but you never hear anything bad about the guy. For some reason, people are constantly surprised at how productive he is.

Good question. Why does he bounce around so much? There has to be a reason. I know I always hate to face him.

He's 5'4" and gets abused on defense by even the smallish guards in the league.

But I think if he scores 30, it puts a lot of pressure on his man to score 30, too. Doesn't happen that much.

He has glaring flaws. Obviously his size makes him vulnerable to get abused. While he's made strides in making the right pass more often, hes still very much a shoot first guy and I'd say hes really a natural SG and not a PG at all (and I mean in the real sense not like the agenda-pushers on here calling Lillard a SG). Hes generally a pretty low FG% guy, hes shooting from 3 much better this season though. He can shoot you into or out of a game.

Hes still absolutely undervalued IMO. Seems like he struggles to even get a job at vet minimum which is pretty nuts considering some of the garbage backup PGs out there. Bench players, and especially backup PGs, don't need to fit prototype models of the position they're playing. They just need to be productive and have one or two above average strengths. Robinson can be inconsistent but he can really light it up and win a few games for you on his own over the course of a season.

Wouldn't be my first choice for a bench player, but you could do worse.

Not on top of my list, but not at the bottom, either. We've got a Limey, a Frog-Eater, a Dago, and a Gypsy, why not a Macaroni Bender?
