"He (Derrick Rose) has been working hard and getting a lot of shots up every day," Reggie said about Derrick. "Most of all, he is getting his mind ready, getting comfortable with his body. I think [his mind] is probably at a good 90 percent now."

    - Reggie Rose, Brother and Manager of Derrick Rose

    So, whaddya know?

If Reggie says it, ... from God's lips to his ears, right?

I'll take Derrick back. I think the team will, as well. But would he be on a minutes limit? That would be frustrating.

Still, better having to limit Derrick's minutes than not having to limit Marquis'..

I was thinking about this a couple days ago. If the Bulls make it out of the 1st round, does Rose come back to play in round 2? He might be pumped up by the team making it out of round 1 and realize what he'd add.

On the other hand, I really think he'd be a big distraction and he's not exactly used to playing with these guys in real game situations.

    Me, too.

So it would be difficult. So if the Bulls advance to round 2 and a series against the Heat. It is likely they will lose this series with or without Rose.

And Bulls fans would turn on him like the have most of their recent stars, if he isn't 100%.

I was too Denny, been thinking about it for a while now. He practices with the team now, and has been doing it for several weeks.

One thing I would say if Derrick does in fact come back: It won't have been cynical.

Because if he had come back early and had a hard time adjusting, people would have understood.

But now that he's "late", they're not anywhere near as likely to be forgiving.

And he would be coming back for a series in which the odds are stacked against the Bulls, regardless, and it's hard to see that he would be able to change things enough to give the Bulls a shot.

So coming back for the Heat would not be a cynical, self-serving calculated move. It would be because now he feels like he's ready. I can live with that.

Given the likelihood of a Roseless Bulls team beating the Heat in a 7-game series, is this a relevant distraction or an irrelevant distraction?

The team goes from 5 guys involved in the plays to 4 guys standing around watching Rose try to score?

Or a lot of passes to places Rose thinks his teammates are going to be.

As far as playing the Heat without him, we've seen the "open field tackle of LeBron defense" is a winning strategy.
