At the end of National Lampoons Vacation, they had to re-shoot the end of the movie because it didn't test well.

A couple of weeks after the movie originally wrapped production, they had to go back and shoot a new ending. To the keen eye, you can see the obvious differences in the actors haircuts (Chevy's was shorter, same with AMH) and Anthony Michael Hall had a growth spurt, his voice was a little deeper and was now much taller than his "sister", who herself had put on some weight and had a different haircut.

Another fun fact, because of the change in the end, they needed a new actor to play a newly created role. The new role, a security guard, was played by John Candy. Because the production had to go on asap, John Candy pretty much could ask for whatever salary he wanted (rumor has it he asked, and received, 1 million dollars for his bit role).

A lot of people know that Karl Malone's son, K.J. Malone, is an offensive lineman at LSU.

Lesser known, is that he also has a son currently playing in the NFL, Demetress Bell (most recently with Philly). Malone always denied being Bell's father, but after a paternity suit, blood tests determined that there was a 99% chance he was the father, prompting Malone to "settle out of court."

Even more interesting, the mother was 13 years old at the time, but the family didn't press charges because they were worried Malone wouldn't be able to support their child financially if arrested for statutory rape.

Even more interesting than that, Malone's also got a pair of twins out there who he fathered with a different girl and similarly settled out of court with, and even though Demetress Bell does not associate with Malone, his estranged brother and sister are very close to him. One of those twins also happens to be former WNBA MVP Cheryl Ford.

    Talk about some genes...

Another shocker. Karl Malone is the father of Seattle Storm star Sue Bird.
