Dude bought him beer and Newports?

I mean shit, I'm drinking a beer right now and I'm actually about to step outside for a port... I get why that can make a guy's day, but that's how he decides to help the dude? Homeboy probably went hungry that night...

I mean, I guess it's cool, but how about buying the guy a steak or something... looks like Ocho cheaped out on the beers too... it's blurry, but those look like Keystones. I'm sure the dude probably told him he wanted the beer and smokes, but that's not what he needed.

I'm a Chad Johnson fan, have been for a minute, so I ain't hating. I'm just not really sure how I feel about this whole thing. I used to have beggars on my block every day in NOLA, had to even kick them off my fuckin front steps several times, and it was the same old shit with them every time... I've got sympathy for my fellow man, but when you deal with that on a daily basis, enough becomes enough, and sometimes you just gotta be an asshole to them, and the last thing the dude needs is to be encouraged to continue his lifestyle of begging...

I agree with you man, but you can't help someone that doesn't want to be helped. I've seen a couple different reports where people had signs that said something like "will work for food," they were offered work and they turned it down. They want the easy money, they want to spend it on drugs or booze, and they don't want your help. It's sad, and they're not all like that, but the bad ones make it hard to know who's real and who's not.

I can't give money to pan handlers because I just don't trust them.
