They don't have team needs figured in until after the draft lottery, so this just means that 3 out of 4 people consider Alex Len the 10th best prospect in the draft
I have a feeling these guys know the teams needs regardless of where they are picking don't you think?
I think you keep both. Start the better fit and have the other as a backup. Two centers is not a lot.
Things can change quite a bit in the next 50 days, but it has looked for a while that a center may be the BPA at 10. Not happy about it but there is a good chance we go big. So if we don't trade the pick, I say make the best of it and keep them both. We need three centers IMO on the roster. Even if we only use two. It just means we can only sign one defensive minded Vet instead of two. It will hurt next year, but maybe better in the long haul.
Only if we can get a piece that really helps us now. I have some doubts about that. If we can't get real value for it, then Len could be a nice asset to have.
Does Len play defense? The only center prospect in the draft whose defense seems to be talked about is Dieng.. Can any of the other ones play it?
This could be Lensanity all over again.....or not. I do find it somewhat interesting that Len went to Maryland, and one of the teams we mention most as a trade partner also resides in that area. Could it play a factor? If the guy is any good or if he sucks, you would think the Wiz would know either way. Let's hope he showed a lot of POtential.
I don't think Meyers has much trade value, so getting a quality SG is out of the question. You have to keep him and hope he pans out.
I'm a fan of Shabazz but think he's going to be well gone by 10 unless he has the work pre-draft camp ever.
