Lillard is 100% a game changing point guard, his statement makes all your other points on the subject mook.

    I mean moot.

I loved Sherman Douglas! He always reminded me of the fat old dudes who can really ball who play at the gym.

Well, if Lillard ends up like Steph Curry then I will gladly say I was wrong. But if he ends up like Damon Stoudamire...

Untouchable may be overstating it. But they were pretty prized commodities after their rookie seasons. Rudy set a record for 3 point shooting, Sergio was wowing everybody with his passing and Qyntel was great in summer league and looked a lot more athletic than people realized.

All three of them are probably untouchable now... on their Euro teams...

Actually, what happened to Qyntel? He was the LeBron James of Poland for a while there.

IF you thought that, you were wrong, as were the other people who thought it, which is not everybody, and I'd be surprised if it was the majority. I certainly didn't think it.

Oh, my mistake. You've convinced me with your sheer force of argument.

There is a huge difference in "trade lillard" and "tradr lillard for a superstar". There are maybe 8 true superstars in the league and they will all take more then lillard to get. We are a team with few assets, this isn't a dEep team like 09, if we trade lillard we have nothing behind him and the same is said for everyone of our starters so unless a team is willing to give us a superstar for lillard and just lillard we would lose out on the trade because we aren't winning anything next year and we aren't deep enough to trade multiple assets for one; we would just have the same problems we have already.

    This is just stupid.

White Chocolate was a polarizing rookie who drove his coach FUCKING INSANE.

Yes, he made a lot of Sports Center highlights, and that is exactly why ESPN is so reviled among many true sports fans. Force fed crap like rookie White Chocolate and power dunks from bench scrubs during garbage time.

The (knowledgeable) fan debate about Williams the rookie was IF he could significantly improve his game to become a worthwhile NBA player (which he eventually did after many years), or if he was destined to be a flashy knucklehead.

To compare his rookie year or the buzz of it or the accolades received or the praise received to Lillard is ignorant.

Folks said of White Chocolate: his turnovers are amazing!

Folks say of Lillard: he has poise, confidence, leadership, skills. I see All-Star in his future.

Look it up. Maybe you will learn something.

I'll bump this for Rasta since he continues to ignore the question.

What percentage of rookies on this list should have been traded away after their rookie season?

You've beaten me down with the sheer volume of you posting the same things over and over again.

Trade Lillard, just so this guy can at least post about someone or something else.

What's interesting to me about the stats is that Williams was known for his passing, but Dame has a better AST% while also having a better TOV%.

Hitching the wagon to Lillard is definitely the way to go!
