OT: Mark Jackson: Steph Curry targeted

Rumor is that a few people within the Nugget organization told Jackson that Karl was instructing players to try and injure Steph Curry by targeting his ankle.

Maybe Jackson forgot the series vs the bulls when the pacers cheap shot Pippen and Jordan. Man the league are filled with softies now!

46 seconds in, a clear and deliberate trip by Faried on Curry. It's a cheap shot, but the refs did catch it.

I don't see it at all except where Curry appears to deliberately kick Faried's toe which is planted.

 

Man.... this is just old school dirty playoff basketball. This used to be common.

 

You know who used to bitch like this back in the early 90's? Yep the Phoenix Suns. I remember them being all butt hurt when Utah were physical with them. Bitching and whining that Utah played all dirty and shit. I laughed and said "Play fucking softball then bitches!!!!"

 

If Jackson's bitching gets the favorable whistles at home in game 6 . . . it was well played bitching.

This news single-handedly makes me not a fan of this Warriors team. When the coach and best player are pussies, no thanks.

That's why I was such a big fan of Gerald Wallace in Portland. That dude would be bumped all over the place. He sacrificed his body for his team. He was a man! I wish we had more of the Pryzbilla and Wallace types on our team.

 

Wallace joined the team a couple years too late. If we'd had Wallace in 08-09, I think we would have beaten the Rockets. They were playing a tough brand of basketball, and Wallace would have eaten that up.

You don't sprain your ankle by getting tripped. Mark Jackson needs to stop being a pussy.

 

Jackson is protecting his star player, just like every other coach worth a shit would do.

 

What you do is make Draymond Green or Bogut put Lawson on his ass when he takes it in the paint. It will send a clear message. You don't whine that they're dirty to the media, it just makes the Warriors look even more soft. Future teams will continue to do the same thing. Its playoff basketball. Mark Jackson played for the Pat Riley Knick's, he should know this.

 

The Pacers weren't saints either. The Davis boys were thuggish ruggish as well.
