well, it's not totally random, but inspired by the division comparison threads. i think it'd be cool to have like a tourney or something with all-division teams. This way more players get recognized and there are more games. two teams will have a bye first (randomly selected), and it will come out with one winner. each game has say 20 minute halves.
Maybe a 5 on 5 game for like 5 minutes. Each team has one player. That would be sweet. Players that wouldn't participate anyhow.Awesome idea.

The only bad thing about that would be if the Atlantic beat the Southwest and dumb people that join the boards would say that's why the Atlantic is better. That would annoy me. :ranting:

Garbage? I love All-Star Weekend. The players get a little mid-season break from all the stresses of the grueling NBA regular season and they get to have a little fun. I love watching the dunk contest, there is always at least something we havn't seen before. I like watching the sharpshooters duke it out for the 3-pt contest trophy. The Skills Challenge is awesome. The Rookie Challenge is great to watch, a lot of exciting plays, a time where the young guys get a chance to show what they can do in the open floor. I don't know, but I love All-Star Weekend and I never miss it. I mean watching all that is entertaining and a load of fun for the NBA players/fans.As for this idea of Division vs. Division games - brilliant! That would be sweet to watch. Nothing like 20 minute halves, that would take forever. But having 5-on-5 games (1 player from each team then a 6th man/sub) to like 11 or something would be sweet.
The Skills challenge I could probably sleep through. It is boring, and I don't honestly care who can dribble around pylons and throw a ball through a ring the quickest. The 3 pt shootout also doesnt excite me. The Dunk Contest is always entertaining to me, because you always see some really nice dunks. I always enjoy great dunks even if they have been done before anyway. I didnt like how Nate won last year. If he was 6"5 he never would have won. That is corrupt judging right there.The ASG and Rookie Challenge are both very entertaining too. I dont see it as garbage basketball. I see it as a bunch of great players entertaining a crowd and showing their abilities as players. You simply have a cork stuck in your ass if you cannot sit down and enjoy an All Star Game.

they should get everyone to dunk over spud webb I like the ideaa of a ledgends game. have a dunk contest where the hoop get raised an inch after a successful dunk. See who can get the highest!!
