I wonder if this is a legit scenario?

The Bucks are reeling. Herb Kohl wants to sell the team (provided it stays in Milwaukee, but...I mean....anything is possible....

.....for the right amount of green (emerald).....right?

Anything is possible... But if the NBA won't let the Kings move (who are failing worse) then why would they let SEA move the Bucks?

That would be perfect, because they could move them to the Western conference and Minnesota to the East.

    Never gonna happen though...

Why Minnesota? Memphis is the furthest east of any team in the Western Conference, with New Orleans not too far behind.

I'd love to see a team in Seattle again, but I wouldn't rob the Milwaukee fans to make it happen.

Primarily because Minnesota in the NW division is a geographical oddity and nightmare for the other teams in the division. It would be much more sensible in the central division. Check the distances between Minneapolis and the other central division cities (Detroit, Chicago, Indianapolis, Cleveland) and compare them with distances from Portland, OKC, SLC, and Denver. Then for fun, compare the distances from Memphis and NOLA to their current division foes (the Texas teams). Minnesota in the central and Memphis in the SW fits better than Memphis in the south and Minnesota in the NW.

None of the teams mentioned as alternatives to Sacramento seem to be in any mood to sell; although, some are leveraging the presence of Hansen to get new arena deals. Hansen's the best piece of leverage the NBA has had in years, as far as that goes.

Of course, everyone has a price and maybe Hansen/Balmer will over pay enough to tempt an owner to sell even though they're not actively thinking about selling right now.

No doubt, Hansen has approached any possible selling candidates. Guessing that the more of a fight Hansen puts up for the Kings is a pretty good indication of the lack of any other sellers. All signs are that he's fighting pretty hard to close the Kings deal (no matter where the team is allowed to play.)
