Personally, I'd hate to be let go by the nuggets. That would have to be excruciating.

I do think Karl is a good coach, but after watching the W's in a playoff series against him I give more credence to the idea that hes not the best playoff coach out there.

But his teams are well coached. They play the "right" kind of basketball. The Nuggets had talent this season, but not elite talent. I'd argue that the #3-6 seeds in the west are all pretty much on the same tier and its kind of a toss up when you start throwing them head to head in PO series. 3 vs 6 sounds like the #3 should be easily favored, and Denver was HEAVILY favored, but I think anyone who knew the Warriors' season in depth knew that it was going to be a close one.

I think Karl would be a damn good pick up for PDX. But yeah I'm starting to believe that hes not really a great playoff coach.

Well Karl won coach of the year.
George Karl has been named the recipient of the Red Auerbach Trophy as the 2012-13 NBA Coach of the Year.

Karl, who guided the Nuggets to the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, joins Doug Moe as the only coaches in franchise history to win the award. It also is the first time Karl has received the honor in his 25 NBA seasons.

Karl totaled 404 points, including 62 first-place votes, from a panel of 121 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada.

Speaking of Coach of the Year. Hasn't there been at least 3 coaches who have won coach of the year and then the next year they lost their job?
