http://deadspin.com/dan-le-batard-didnt-vote-for-lebron-james-for-nba-mvp-492822353 wow. Miami beat writer is the lone dissenter. Basically to get himself ratings. What a fuck.
What the fuck... That is just wrong. At least the guy who didn't vote for Shaq in 2000 had a Basketball reason for it. If it turns out this guy did and isn't just faking it for publicity he should never receive a ballot again.
I don't think he really voted for someone else. He isn't the one. He said he was the one as a hoax and to get hits.
So it was a writer from the Boston Globe who voted for Melo. His rationale was that MIA w/o Bron would be better than NYK w/o Melo. Don't really see the point of hypotheticals in this. If we follow up on his rationale, and switch Melo with Bron, NYK would be the better team.
I spent way too much of my life cheering against Jordan and Shaq. (Thanks to superstar treatment that I felt our Drexler/Pippen teams never got.) I feel like I never fully appreciated how great they were while they were playing. LeBron is right there with those guys, and I'm not making that mistake again.
Above was posted in another thread a few days before we knew the vote but seems appropriate here as well.
WTF? Miami with LeBron is much better than New York with Carmelo, so what's the absence of both prove?
Exactly. Miami without LeBron is better than the Bobcats without Kemba Walker. Give MVP to Kemba Walker. End of discussion.
Full voting results. How did David Lee get a vote? http://www.masslive.com/celtics/index.ssf/2013/05/2013_nba_mvp_voting_kevin_garn.html
Whoever voted Melo #1 and the folks who voted Durant 4/5th need to have there voting ballots revoked from here on out.
