Team USA traveled halfway around the globe to re-establish its prominence in the basketball community, but wound up merely getting all of the same lessons hammered home again as Greece ran away with a 101-95 victory over the Americans in the semifinals of the World Basketball Championship. Greece shot a stunning 35 of 56 (65 percent) in the game, including a sizzling 27 of 38 (71 percent) on two point shots. :no1: :thumbdn1:
It's part of the process. This is a three year team building for 2008, this should be a lesson. They still need to fix some things.
^Exactly, but still very dissapointing considering the talent and how they really handled just about everyone up until today.
They Had Alot of Talents But Just Didn't Use Em Well, And They Will Probably Loose Agains't Argentina.
Wait until 2008. The talents of James, Wade, Paul, Howard, Anthony, Bosh, Hinrich, and Arenas is going to be UNBELIEVABLE in 2008. And isn't Kobe playing in 08 as well?If we can develope a little extra chemistry with this stacked basketball team there is no reason why we should lose a single game.

That is why the USA loses. They give up wide open 3's and easy layups from bad pick and roll defense, and shoot 60% from the line....what do you expect to happen?Kobe and Chauncey will imrpove the exterior defense, Amare will give beef down low, and 2 more years of chemistry building and learning offense/defenses, and this team will kill in 2008.
i just saw highlights from the game on espn(sportscenter). Wow disapointnig im sure coach K will do something about this
Wow, that's terrible. But at least they now know that they aren't at the top of the international basketball world anymore. Team USA really needs to work on their team game now.
^Unlike the past years, this team will be a 3 year project built upon the young talent the league has to offer. Usually they just build a random team for the WC, then the Olympics. This one has the experience from this trip, they will have another summer and a half to train and get everything down with the new additions, then they will play as a true team in 2008.
Blah....I just don't know. We have the talent...i think we need a veteran...like Jason Kidd, even though he is old.

Damn, this was a surprise. Everyone thought U.S.A. would win, but the thing is that they played pretty poor ball a lot of the time, and I noticed that they seem to shoot way too many threes. And if they start missing them, then will jack even more up.Wait till '08 when it really counts.
