Blockbuster Clippers trade rumored

    This would be huge. The trade itself is rather illogical, and I can't imagine it coming to effect, but it...it sure is interesting.

    Why would trading away the Clippers' most promising young talent, as well as their entire frontcourt presence, for two near-retired players, sway Chris Paul to stay in Los Angeles? If I were Paul, that trade would get me packing my bags.

    Pretty bad trade scenario for the Clippers, but that explanation is worse.

    Yeah. The trade makes sense short term, but long term this trade is suicide for the Clippers. I think KG now is better then Blake, considering his impact on the defensive end.

    Both Pierce and Garnett come off the books after next season. it'd be $18M the Clippers could use to sign FAs.

    That's the only rationale I can see.
