Longtime Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has announced his intentions to become club director this summer, leaving the technical area for fellow Glaswegian David Moyes who has just signed a six-year contract with the club. Ferguson has been a manager since 1974 starting with East Sterlingshire FC in Falkirk. Ferguson came to United in 1986 and has been the manager since. Moyes has been managing since 1998, starting with Preston North End and moving to Everton in 2002. Moyes is the third longest tenured Premier League manager behind Ferguson and Arsenal's Arsène Wenger.
