I think I did answer the question, and I can't think of any other way to.

    I can't doubt beliefs I don't have.

    Ok.

You don't ever wonder if your political philosophy or atheistic belief has a hole or two? Actually, at twenty four (I forget your exact age) I think I didn't question my beliefs much.

By the way, just because I question, doesn't mean I don't have strong convictions.

I don't see how I could doubt that I don't believe there is a higher power, and even if I could, I wouldn't.

I guess I wasn't really thinking politically, since I tend to try not to get involved in political discussions. I guess I think more about the philosophical side of it.

People being inherently good is pretty much the #1 most important thing about my political beliefs, because my foundation is that everyone should be able to do anything they want unless it infringes upon the basic rights of others. I think drugs should be legal and all that jazz. True freedom like that is hard to desire if you don't think people are inherently good.

    I'm 21.

I personally have zero doubt about ghosts, I do not believe they exist. I wondered until the day I visited a concentration camp in Germany. I did not see, hear, feel or touch a ghost, and if I don't encounter one there, I just don't believe in them. I have doubt is some areas, but not there.

But I understand the desire for them to exist.

Thanks for the longer response, I understand it much better now. I don't doubt, I know that at. Least some people are terrible humans. Evil (without the devil aspect of the term evil) people exist. I have run into ones now and then who truly love hurting other people. Disgusting.

I have serious doubts about being pro choice. I can't bring myself to believe that government should be allowed to dictate what a woman does with her own body. I feel that, since I'm a guy, I shouldn't inflict my feelings on the people that are truly affected (women).

All that said, I believe that abortion is killing babies. Especially late term abortions. I struggle with the fact that I don't feel the need to lobby against abortion as strongly as I lobby against more gun control.

I feel a new thread coming on.

Continued study into Mars' history could reveal a time in which the environment was more habitable. Meteorites on Earth from Mars could provide clues. We're not just relying on Mars but its going to take time before we can study another planet as closely.

When I stand at my mother's grave, describe the economy and how the Dow has performed that week, ask for tips on whether to sell stock, and listen carefully to the scratchy whispers, I doubt my core beliefs about the coexistence of atheism and the afterlife.

I want to believe in a higher power. I want to give my child the comfort that he's not alone in the universe. However, I've never felt the presence of God.

I would say I have a very similar view on the subject.
