Trade #1: Getting Asik, Robinson and Jones for Batum and Leonard: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cy9ho7p Trade #2: Getting Monroe and Singler for Batum and Leonard. Would have to wait until July 1st because Detroit wouldn't have the cap space to make the deal until their existing expiring contracts actually expire.
Possible sign and trade could make it work. Evans making 9 mil and 4 mil for DMC. We would probably have to give up our first rounder too.
Nothing comparable to their value to us. Trading young players from the top 1/2 of your talent pool is a fool's game. Your trade or waive players of the least talent, replacing them on a frequent basis until you have a full squad of talent.
If I was looking to trade Batum and Leonard I wouldn't hesitate asking for Marc Gasol or Brook Lopez. Even if it did mean throwing in the 10th pick and taking maybe a little more back.
Trading Batum is a bad decision unless we get LeBron on return. Batum is about to emerge as a top 3 SF in the league. You don't give that away.
