There's a tradeoff when you advocate for big government. If you want big government, you need to insure that you have a government that's beyond reproach. A big government that plays favorites is a banana republic. Not even the biggest of big government advocates is promoting that ideal. You need to show the American people if you're asking them to hand over their rights to you, that they will be treated fairly. The favoritism shown in this Administration is undercutting their message that government is a force for good in society.

I'm afraid that's my fault. I thought I was in the other thread when I asked who told the rescuers to stand down. Sorry about that. Go Blazers
I am starting to think like MaxieP that the rate they are "discovering" these things, that somewhere burried within is a real gem...
I think the administration made a huge mistake by blaming the CIA a few weeks ago for the Benghazi "video" story, because there is nothing to indicate that the CIA ever mentioned that bullshit video excuse.
Obama's America Julian Bond, former NAACP head, with his idiotic and racist ideas on MSNBC. This guy is one of the heroes of the left and was one of the most powerful black men in America just a few years ago. It seems Democrats petitioned the IRS to shut out the conservative leaning groups, and the IRS complied. Not good. http://www.usnews.com/opinion/blogs...-irs-tea-party-snooping-before-criticizing-it Republicans were similarly upset that W's DoJ investigated too many republicans and not enough democrats. That ended up in Atty. General Alberto Gonzales being forced to resign. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/27/AR2007082700372.html Goose. Gander.
hmmm hard to do that to a popular prez BUT he has so many fires burning all around him, and all lead back to him..so, lets see what else pops up
With the scandals we know about now - extremely unlikely. The chance of there being an e-mail or recording of Obama personally ordering the Bengazhi stand down, Bengazhi talking points rewrites/lies, IRS harassment of Tea Party groups, DOJ wiretaps of AP is virtually zero. Without that kind of smoking gun, no impeachment.
This is just speculation. Speculation I have already made. So it is not very enlightening. Except, I guess, to those who have had their head in the sand about the Obama Admin. Is this guy offering anything of substance?
Even if he did order the Bengazhi stand down, the talking points to be changed, the IRS to scrutinize certain applications, etc., it doesn't come close to impeachable offenses. Even if there's a recording of Obama talking to the ambassador on the phone telling him he's going to die and no help was on the way, there's no crime. The wiretaps of the AP is trivial to argue as legit under the patriot act provisions. I am no Obama supporter. I'm not out to see him impeached without any cause. And I'm not looking for cause even. It's a good thing we have at least the house as republican so there is some scrutiny and oversight of the executive branch. Maybe they will find cause and my opinion will change.
You are wrong. Very, very wrong. IRS harassment of political actors, for example, violates the Constitution, which the President is sworn to uphold. Impeachable offense.
